EasyProxy Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
The short version
EasyProxy does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal information. Your saved proxies and settings stay on your own device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how the EasyProxy browser extension ("EasyProxy", "the extension", "we") handles information. EasyProxy is a tool that lets you switch your browser's proxy settings on and off using proxies that you add yourself.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect any information about you. EasyProxy has no servers, and it does not send any data to the developer or to any third party.
3. Information stored on your device
To work, the extension saves the following in your browser's local extension storage:
- The proxies you add: name, host or IP address, port and proxy type.
- Your bypass list (the sites that skip the proxy).
- Which proxy is selected, whether the proxy is on, and whether you have dismissed the welcome message.
This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us. You can remove it at any time by deleting your proxies in the extension, or by removing the extension from your browser, which erases its stored data.
4. Permissions the extension uses
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
proxy | To apply and clear your browser's proxy configuration. This is the core feature of the extension. |
storage | To save your proxies and preferences locally on your device. |
EasyProxy does not request access to your browsing history, the pages you visit, cookies, or the content of any website.
5. Connection checks
When you turn on a proxy, or press Test it, the extension may check whether something is listening at the proxy address you entered. This check is only made for HTTP proxies located on your own computer (for example 127.0.0.1 or localhost). It stays on your device, and no information is sent to us.
6. Your proxies and your traffic
When a proxy is switched on, your browser sends its web traffic through the proxy server you chose. EasyProxy only changes the browser's proxy setting. It does not read, record, modify or store that traffic.
The proxy server or program you connect to can see the traffic that passes through it. It is operated by you or by a third party, not by EasyProxy, and its own privacy practices apply. Only use proxies that you run yourself or fully trust.
7. Third parties, analytics and remote code
- No third-party services, analytics, advertising or tracking tools are used.
- The extension does not load or run remote code. All of its code is included in the extension package.
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, and we do not use data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
8. Children's privacy
EasyProxy does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a future version of the extension changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
